Meghan spent the early part of her childhood in New Orleans, Louisiana before moving to nearby Ponchatoula, Louisiana when she was 12. Even as a child, Meghan had dreams of becoming a professional singer one day.
As a teenager, Meghan recorded her first album "This Is Now" and began performing at fairs and festivals, and opening for artists such as Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, and many more.
Meghan's musical influences range from Bekka Bramlett, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt to June Carter Cash, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, & Reba McEntire. Meghan says, "There's definitely an element of soul in country music". "Country is all my mom listened to. That was definitely in my blood. My dad was very 70s rock and roll. The combination of my dad and my mom's influences along with living in New Orleans in such a musical environment, it definitely all influenced the way I sing."
After graduating high school, Meghan moved to Nashville to fulfill her life long dream of being a singer/songwriter. Soon after moving to Nashville, Meghan worked as a karaoke host in local nightclubs, before trying out for "Can You Duet" in 2009 with Joshua Scott Jones as the country duo Steel Magnolia.
